Let me start out by saying two things, A. I am kind of rough with electronics, and B. my old ipod case was a POS belkin "shell" that just wasn't cutting it.

I knew if I kept my ipod in the old case one day it would break, and I would be SOL, so I looked online, with my old ipod I had a great neoprene case which seemed indestructible (dropped at least 3 times, and it was fine, ironically it got stolen not broken) but for my new ipod I wanted something as thin as possible.

Well I heard about this thing everywhere, multiple forums, multiple great reviews... And they're all true.
When you order this case you get the complete package, a very solid case, lens cloth, 2! screen protectors, a dock adaptor, a little stand and an audio jack adapter (not sure it's use because it seems to adapt 3.5 t0 3.5???) so rest assured that for you get everything you need.

As for the actual case the installation *for me* wasn't that difficult, but I can understand if you're very careful about your ipod that you might find it hard to get on, but I had no trouble. As for protection it feels very sturdy, and although I haven't dropped it yet it feels like it could with stand a 3-4ft drop.

If you have taken a physics class you will understand why they chose a very clever dual layer design which really "seems" to work. In conclusion buy this case, it's great price (in walmart/target cheapest cases are like and they're horrible) and is the real deal.
