I started with buying Pioneer, the moved to JVC, but Clarion blows them any any other model out of the water. The unit sounds awesome!! You can tell 10 fold from the MOSFET Amplifier that is in the unit and the anti-distortion filter.
My only complaint is that it has problem playing a lot of recorded cds (cdrs). I keep getting the "Error 3" message which is supposed to mean that you have a scratched disc, but in fact the disc isn't scratched.
I am so satisfied with the unit that I can overlook that.
